How I Lowered My Blood Pressure In Under One Month

Have you ever wondered how some people are able to lower their blood pressure naturally and get off medications?

The answer is in the foods you eat. The saying “you are what you eat” couldn’t be any more true in today’s world. Food is information that dictates how our body functions. If you are eating highly processed foods in the form of packaged and boxed foods that are created in labs with the exact intentions of wowwing you with mouth watering-dopamine triggering flavor in every bite, then you have fallen victim (like most people) to the food industry.  These lab tested foods are making the food industry billions at the expense of your health! 

Trust me, I was just another statistic who was convinced that some of these packed foods were actually “healthy”. The reality is that even proclaimed health bars were just candy bars in disguise.

But when you eat whole foods, rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that your body recognizes, that food is literally information that your body uses to dictate physiological functions to occur in the body. 


How to Start Your Lowering Blood Pressure Journey

The first step to lowering your blood pressure naturally is to have the mindset that you have the power to do so.  You are in control and are in charge of your health, and not anyone else. 

It’s about understanding that mother nature gave you everything you need to heal and thrive, and I am here to share my personal strategy that worked for me and hundreds of other individuals to heal their cardiovascular system and thrive.

Here is exactly what I did when my blood pressure was averaging 170/95 for months while being on blood pressure medications. Keep in mind that I was living with a diagnosis of hypertension for 15 years prior. 

  1. Walked every morning for 20 - 60 minutes (if I had time, a nice stretching session after )

  2. Get home, and make my food medicine

  3. Breakfast: Loaded Oatmeal 

  4. Batched Snacks & food medicine (to last for a few days, on Sundays & Wednesday)

  5. Lunch & Dinner was always a Core Four bowl, wrap, or soup

  6. 5 minute meditation breaks 2-3X per day in mini breaks during work and in the evening

  7. Short relaxing bedtime routine (even if its just 5 minutes, I have 4 kids)

Sounds simple right?

One thing I did that I get a lot of backlash for when I talk about it is that I went 100% plant-based for three months. I also learned to cook with zero or minimal oil (only using avocado or olive oil). I did eat avocados though. This was for three months, and I never felt better in my life. My blood pressure went down in 10 days!! I was then weaned off of two blood pressure medications in two months.

The thing is, my brain fog, stiff joints, water retention, energy levels, blood pressure, and cholesterol ALL improved. 

Honestly, I’m a BIG foodie and did experiments with my diet to see what triggers my blood pressure and other symptoms to go up. I eat animal products minimally and also indulge in my cravings from time to time, but these all slightly increase my symptoms. Then I go back to a plant heavy diet and symptoms decrease.

I believe in bio-individuality, and that everyone is not the same in their health history, BUT I also know that when someone has high blood pressure, they are inflammed on the inside and need an antioxidant rich diet found in so many plants to put out the flame and heal. If you’ve been following the Core Four diet without eating processed foods and highly processed inflammatory vegetable & seed oils you should be seeing results.

How to Make Your Healing Journey Happen Faster

Throughout my years of health coaching and deep research on the best ways to manage blood pressure, I developed a faster way to help people who have been trying to lower their blood pressure with countless unsuccessful efforts.  

Using the Fasting Mimicking Diet reset model of Dr. Volter Longo, the Edna M. Jones Professor of Gerontology and Biological Sciences and Director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California –Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, Los Angeles, one of the leading centers for research on aging and age-related disease, I created an effective reset that focuses on healing the inflamed cardiovascular system in hypertensive individuals.

I personally tried Dr. Volter Longo’s Prolon Fasting Mimicking diet. It was effective, expensive, and contained pre-packed foods (which I am not a big fan of to begin with), but it did help lower my blood pressure.  This happened in one of my personal experiments where I ate in a way that increased my blood pressure, and then doing the Prolon Fasting Mimicking diet. (*I don't recommend you trying to raise your blood pressure).
